The VHEDC
The VHEDC is a private, non-profit organization established to further economic development in the City of Vadnais Heights and the
surrounding areas. Unlike most economic development agencies, the VHEDC is independent of the city and is thus able to work together with business
and the city to grow and improve the business climate in the area.
The VHEDC is comprised of business people, citizens in the Vadnais Heights area and representatives from the city who are interested in
creating new job opportunities, retaining existing jobs, and expanding the tax base of our area.
Its objective is to develop more effective
communication and partnership among area businesses, the city and city residents, and to be proactive on behalf of area businesses.
We achieve our goals through economic and capital
improvement planning, marketing, business retention
programs, and by providing a public/private
partnership created to package and process loan applications for project and business assistance. We work together to promote an environment that
encourages the retention and growth of area businesses, and to promote the Vadnais Heights area as a
great place to conduct business and reside.
In an effort to facilitate these objectives the
city of Vadnais Heights and the University of
Minnesota conducted a survey of businesses in the
area. Download the results below:
We work for everyone: existing businesses who wish to expand or renovate; businesses wishing to locate in our area; government, banking
leaders, and others who understand the value of new business; and citizens who will have greater job opportunities and consumer choices.
To help achieve these goals, the VHEDC encourages new members to be active in the organization. By working on one or more of our committees,
a business can have a great impact on the issues. |
