Engaging Generations in the Workplace by Chris Winter, President of Achieve Purpose

For the first time, we can have 5 generations in the workplace. Most of our perceptions are formed by what we experience, see and hear, before we are eighteen. Everyone has their own experiences, and each generation has been impacted by different external events, which influence how we view the world, how we communicate, and what we value. Developing an understanding of what shapes each and identify opportunities to have a common language that builds trust and productivity.

What if we were to develop a better understanding of each generation’s perspectives and core beliefs? The result would create more engaged and productive employees, improved bottom-line results, and increased employee retention.

• Understanding what has shaped each generation’s perspectives.
• Identify opportunities to have a common language which builds rapport and trust.
• Practical tips and advice on bridging different workforce generations.
