Many of our partners serve on our Board of Directors, serve on VHEDC committees, and are regularly consulted on initiatives.  In addition, our Executive Director serves on local committees and boards in order to build and enhance existing relationships.

The Value of Partnership…

Collaboration is a hallmark of VHEDC and all that we do. We continuously focus on how to bring more parties around the table and be a conduit of resources and communication. The VHEDC has facilitated many community events, conversations, and meetings that bring locally driven results promoting the community and enhancing economic growth.

VHEDC partners with other organizations that have a shared vision of promoting and enhancing the local community. We use our partnership determination process to ensure that alignments further the mission of the VHEDC and are complimentary to our goals, objectives, and values.

A hallmark feature of the VHEDC over the past 40 years has been its community building mission.  Businesses and organizations invest in the VHEDC for a greater return from our collective partnership in working together in innovative and collaborative ways to bring new solutions to where there are local gaps that need to be met.

Meet Our Strategic Partners

VHEDC works closely with the City of Vadnais Heights. A city council member is appointed as a board liaison each year. VHEDC Executive Director meets regularly with city staff and attends council meetings and workshops. View Development activity in Vadnais Heights.
As an organization serving suburban Ramsey County, the VHEDC works closely with our Ramsey County Commissioner as well the Department of Community and Economic Development. The County provides much of the support infrastructure in the local area that makes the community great including road, parks, library, and other amenities such as the Vadnais Sports Center which is located in Vadnais Heights.
The White Bear Lake Area School District (ISD 624) is a valued strategic partner of the VHEDC. The schools and their programs provide a conduit for the future workforce that is necessary for our local businesses to succeed today and into the long range future.
Century College is a two-year community college in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. It is part of the MnSCU system, and is Minnesota’s largest two-year community and technical college. Century College provides the essential training and skills that are needed in our local community. VHEDC works with NE Metro District 916 housed at Century College, and it enrolls students from 14 school NE metro districts training high school students in career and technical education

The White Bear Area Chamber of Commerce is the area’s local chamber. The VHEDC partners with the Chamber on professional education opportunities. In addition, through our partnership, VHEDC conducts GrowMN Visits in Vadnais Heights. Contact our Executive Director to schedule a visit today!
