We are celebrating our community banks and the other financial institutions in our area with features about what they do and all the ways they give back and make the northeast metro area a true community!

How long has MidWestOne Bank been a part of the Northeast Metro area community? How many employees?

Dating back to 1934 when we were founded, MidWestOne Bank has had a strong presence in this community.  MidWestOne Bank has 501-1000 employees.

What are MidWestOnes values that make it unique in its field?  MidWestOne is rich with tradition and has strong core values.

We have a rather simple mission statement that is easy to understand and connect with, “to take care of our customers… and those who should be”. Our 5 Operating Principles guide the way that we carry out business throughout our organization – so no matter what job you hold or where you sit, these principles surround, develop, and support our employees. Our Brand Promise, “We promise to make you our #1 priority in everything we do”, is a powerful statement about the importance of our customers and our employees who serve them. MidWestOnes commitment to our customers, our shareholders, and our employees is one intended to make a difference in other people’s lives and we come to work every day to do just that.

Describe the ways MidWestOne is involved in the community, outside of banking — ways that strengthen/improve the community.

We are proud to support organizations within our communities. From our monthly Onederful Giving giveaway to our MidWestOne Foundation, we’ve worked with countless groups in Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Florida, and  Colorado.   Volunteer opportunities with the Special Olympics, The White Bear Lake Emergency Food Shelf, and The Ronald MacDonald Charities to name a few.
