SPIRE Credit Union: Grand Opening December 17 in Vadnais  Heights!

Located on the southwest corner of the intersection of I-35E and County Road E, the Vadnais Heights branch will serve Northeast Metro area communities. The 5,000+ square-foot branch was designed by HTG Architects and is being built by Greiner Construction. SPIRE chose to locate in Vadnais Heights because the city has an outstanding reputation in the business community and will allow the credit union to reach people in an area not currently being serviced by SPIRE.

SPIRE has been in business since 1934 and serves people in Minnesota and Wisconsin; it has nearly 300 employees. SPIRE is locally owned and locally operated. The Vadnais Heights location will be the 18th SPIRE branch. Jim Ganger, SPIRE Senior Vice President of Relationship & Service Experience says, “We look forward to providing a more convenient SPIRE experience to Vadnais Heights and surrounding communities. This new branch will help us achieve our daily goal of providing service, service, service.”

SPIRE offers a complete array of banking services including personal and business banking services, mortgages and retirement and investment services. Because SPIRE is a not-for-profit financial cooperative, consumers will receive outstanding rates on loans, savings and low fees. In addition, SPIRE prides itself on offering world-class service at every opportunity. Its ownership model makes it unique.  When people join SPIRE, they become owners of the company and have a voice as a vote on the Board of Directors.

SPIRE is involved in every community where it has branches. It believes in “Giving Back” by supporting local businesses, being involved in business associations, and participating in local community efforts to support and improve the area. SPIRE’s Core Value is “We Care … We care about the people and communities that we are in. At SPIRE, people are not a transaction; they are a relationship and our Core Purpose is to improve their financial well-being.”

SPIRE was recently honored with both the 2018 Youth and Adult Desjardins Financial Education Awards. The awards, sponsored by the Minnesota Credit Union Network (MnCUN) and the Credit Union National Association (CUNA), recognize leadership within the credit union movement on behalf of financial literacy.
