Vadnais Heights Economic Development Corporation Appoints New Board Members

The VHEDC Board is pleased to announce the addition of Wayne Kazmierczak and Emilie Berg to their board positions. These two positions were vacated by Kristine Wehrkamp, Community Services Director of White Bear Lake Schools, who recently left the school district. In addition, Tom Colgan, Executive Vice President at F&M Bank, resigned his board position.

Wayne Kazmierczak has served as the Assistant Superintendent for Finance & Operations for White Bear Lake Area Schools since January 2014. Dr. Kazmierczak’s undergraduate degree in business and vocational education led to a career in education, first as a business education teacher for several years prior to becoming a superintendent in a small, rural school district in southwest Minnesota. Dr. Kazmierczak served as the Assistant Superintendent for Moorhead Area Schools for six years prior to joining White Bear Lake Area Schools. A recent graduate of the University of Minnesota with a doctorate in organizational leadership, policy, and development, Dr. Kazmierczak stated that he is very excited to serve as a VHEDC board member and intends to foster the wonderful relationship that exists between the VHEDC and White Bear Lake Area Schools.

Emilie Berg recently joined the F&M team as a Private Banker. She graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a degree in Communication Studies.   Emilie grew up in Cedar Rapids Iowa, has been a resident in Minnesota the past 4 years and has recently moved to the Twin Cities Metro Area.  Emilie is looking forward to exploring all the attractions Vadnais Heights has to offer and getting involved in the community.

The VHEDC is a private, non-profit organization which was started in 1984. The group of business leaders engaging with community stakeholders to enhance the economic vitality of our community. Investors in VHEDC work diligently on efforts to enhance economic development in the City of Vadnais Heights and the surrounding areas by serving as a conduit of economic development resources, building collaborations with strategic partners, and providing advocacy.
